AMIplc a Private Limited Company established in 2004. The Factory is situated at Dukem Industrial Zone to manufacture Warp/Tricot, Rachel and Circular Knit Fabrics & Garments. Initially fabrics were produced as import substitute but now realizing Ethiopia’s potentials for export to Europe & USA. AMIplc adopts new technologies and is well equipped to face the challenges in textile and apparel regime. AMIplc assures customers of quality, consistency and dependable delivery schedules at competitive prices.

We are 1st in Ethiopia to have a modern Waste Water Treatment Plant to meet standards set by Ethiopian Environment Protection Authority. Huge water reservoirs of about 1.7 Million Litters have been constructed using water proofing chemicals and paints specially for this purpose.

Total Production Capacity of all type of Knitted Fabrics is 140,000 Kgs per month. We employ almost 425 workers.

  1ST PHASE

  We started manufacturing Tricot / Warp & Rachel Knitted Fabrics of Polyester Yarn, specially called “Black Shash” to substitute import. Our locally

Realizing the fact that Tricot/Warp Knitted Mesh & Dazzle Fabrics are being imported by local garment factories for manufacturing Sports Wear, we started manufacturing & supplying such fabrics to local garments manufacturers.

We started commercial production in Dec. 2007 at full scale. Presently Total Installed Production Capacity of Tricot / Warp Knitted Fabrics is about 100,000 Kgs per month.

  2ND PHASE

  The Company started manufacturing 100% Polyester & Poly/Cotton Circular Knitted Fabrics for the use in garments & Sportswear for Export to

Fukuhara (Japan) & Monarch (USA) Circular Kitting Machines are used to produce quality Circular Knit fabrics. Our Specialization is in 100% Polyester Fabrics e.g. Single Jersey, Interlock, Pique, Rib & Various double knit fabrics.

Total installed Production Capacity of Circular Knitted Fabrics is 80,000 Kgs per month.

  3RD PHASE

  Ethiopia being beneficiary of AGOA & EBA for DUTY FREE Export to USA & Europe the company realized huge Export potential and

In view of Export potentials the expansion of Garments Division for Knits & Woven specially for Export to USA & Europe was planned in 2011, Building was constructed totaling 54,000 Sq. Ft of which about 39,000Sq. Ft is being used for New Expanded Garments Division.

Additional Machines for Knits & Woven Garments were imported all about 525 machines have started working in the middle of 2015.

Laboratory:

AMIplc has in-house modern Dyeing Laboratory, to ensure quality control and close shade matching. Our setup includes lab dip dyeing machines, automatic dispenser, DATA COLOR spectrophotometer and other fabric's technical parameters testing equipments, which help us identifying correct color recipes and maintaining the same shade over a number of dye-lots.
