The Factory is Situated at Dukem Industrial Zone for manufacturing Warp/Tricot, Rechel and Circular Knit Fabrics & Garments.
Initially fabrics were produced as import substitute but now realizing Ethiopia's potentials for Export to Europe & USA.
AMI plc has included a garments production until as well.
With Ethiopia’s 1st Waste Water Treatment Plant to meet Standards set by Ethiopian Environment Protection Authority.
Huge water reservoirs have been constructed using water proofing chemicals and paints specially for this purpose.
Total Production Capacity of all kind of Knitted Fabrics is 250,000 Kgs per month. We employ more than 1000 Workers.
MACHINES:
At AMI-plc, we have a nice blend of machines which gives us the flexibility and capability to produce various kinds of knit structures.
Our Warp / Tricot Knitting unit consists of KARL MAYER (German Origin) Tricot and Rachel Knitting Machines. Our Circular Knit unit consists of FUKUHARA & MONARCH Single Jersey, Double knit, Rib and Interlock and Semi-Jacquard Machines. Our Dyeing and Processing Section can dye and finish a wide variety of Open Width Fabrics, with customers; required finishes including Water & Fire Resistant finishes and Moisture Wicking finish for Polyester Fabrics. Automatic German & American Soft-Flow Dyeing Machines, along with German Finishing Machines produce our Fabrics.
LABORATORY:
AMI-plc, has in-house state of the art Dyeing Laboratory to ensure quality control and close shade matching. Our setup includes lap dip dyeing machines, automatic dispenser, Data Color spectrophotometer and other testing equipment, which help us in identifying correct color recipes and maintaining the same shade over a number of dye-lots.
